Our office is on the ground floor at 340 Maple St, Suite 100, Marlborough, MA 01752. Maple Street is Route 85: coming from downtown, you pass the Marlborough Fire Department headquarters at 215 Maple St, and we are a little farther south, about ¾ mile below Route 20. Parking is free, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.
French Hill, the Lake Williams area and the Route 20 corridor are all close by, and we also see patients from Hudson, Sudbury, Southborough, Northborough, and Framingham.

I didn’t choose dentistry because I loved teeth. I chose it because of what happens when someone finally loves their smile.
I became a dentist because of what happens after the procedure. The patient who spent years covering their mouth suddenly laughing freely. The professional who walked into an interview feeling like a different person. That is why I do this work.
My two fellowships in implant dentistry (FICOI and FAAIP), along with surgical implant training at the Live Implant Training Institute, represent advanced continuing education in implant placement and restoration. I place and restore implants here. For All-on-4, I plan the case and make your final teeth, in collaboration with a trusted local oral surgeon who performs the surgical placement, and when a case needs a specialist, I arrange it with you. I am AAFE certified in facial aesthetics, and I provide Spark clear aligners, TMJ care and cosmetic dentistry here, bringing in a specialist when that serves the patient best.
I live next door in Southborough, and I practice in Marlborough. Innova Smiles continues the dental practice that has been at 340 Maple St, Marlborough, since 1965. It was started by the late Dr. James Naumes (Community Advocate), and Dr. Daniel R. O’Brien, DMD, led it for 36 years before transitioning it to Dr. Ambereen Fatima in May 2025 (Patch). The clinical staff stayed on through the transition. Today, Dr. Fatima leads every appointment and serves the patients and MetroWest community that Dr. O’Brien cared for.
On April 8, 2026, the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting at the office, with Mayor J. Christian Dumais and members of the City Council (Community Advocate).

Every patient sees the same doctor at every visit.
Your first visit is a full evaluation. We verify your insurance at no cost before you arrive when you book and return your appointment forms at least three business days ahead; for sooner appointments we go over your coverage when you get here. Either way, bring your ID and insurance card and we handle the rest. Most first visits take about 60 to 90 minutes and include digital X-rays, a full exam, oral cancer screening, and a clear care plan.
During office hours, yes. Innova Smiles holds emergency slots every business day (Mon–Thu 9–5, Fri 9–1) for severe toothaches, broken teeth, lost crowns and abscesses: call (508) 481-0110 and the team will triage you and offer the first available slot. The office is closed on weekends and holidays. Outside office hours, our booking line takes calls 24/7 and can schedule you into the first available emergency slot. For a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist in milk or saline and call immediately; for swelling that affects your breathing, go to the nearest emergency room.
We are in-network with Delta Dental (Premier and PPO), Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA (Dental Blue PPO, Dental Blue 65 and Medicare HMO plans), Cigna and Altus (select plans), Guardian and Humana. Many Aetna and MetLife plans are also in-network through Guardian's network-sharing agreement, and many United Concordia plans through Humana's network-sharing agreement; UnitedHealthcare, Ameritas, Principal and the Aetna, MetLife and United Concordia plans outside those agreements are out-of-network — you can still be seen, we file the claim, and the plan pays its out-of-network rate. No insurance? Our in-house membership plan is $395/year for the primary member (additional family members from $199/year each), paid as a single annual lump sum, and covers cleanings, exams, and X-rays with discounts on all other services. Yes. Our team speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese, from the first phone call through follow-up. Dr. Fatima examines you and recommends treatment, and a Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking team member goes over the diagnosis, options and costs with you in your language, so you do not need to bring someone to translate. Yes, from age 1 or the first tooth. Dr. Fatima is a general dentist who treats the whole family.
